So what is LoA?
My kids refer to it as my “hippy shit” (I have old kids). I guess they’re not wrong, but the ideas are older than hippies. They actually go back thousands of years. Or so the podcasts tell me, I haven’t fact checked that, but I like the idea of it.
I'm still learning but, in my simplest understanding, the Law of Attraction is the principle that "like energy" attracts “like energy”.
Remember those science class physics experiments you did when you were in school? The ones where you energized things to see if they would become magnets? It’s the same idea. Mostly. You're just energizing yourself, instead of a needle, to attract the things you want to you.
When you’re happy, your happy energy attracts other things with happy energy.
When you’re frustrated, you attract things with frustrated energy.
Pretty simple, right?

Like attracts Like.
The hard part is making yourself feel happy when you feel frustrated. Abraham calls this “moving up the emotional scale” (yes, there’s a scale. I’ll post it at the bottom). And you know what? Once you know that your negative energy draws negative energy, it becomes a little scarier to dwell in your bad feelings like a pig in shit, but moving up the scale is hard. Even realizing that you’re dwelling in the bad emotions is hard. I think we've all become so used to emotional overload that it's hard to know what our feelings actually are sometimes.

When I google "Law of Attraction 101", "Steps of LoA", and "What is Law of Attraction?", I get a lot of results like: "Use Law of Attraction to get Anything You Want!"
THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS. IF YOU SEE IT IN YOUR MIND, YOU WILL HOLD IT IN YOUR HAND.” BOB PROCTOR
I guess this is a true statement. It does feel very material based though. The way I've interpreted the Law of Attraction is that the biggest part of it is being happy, hopefully and expectant. The Law of Attraction is about loving your life as it is and looking forward to it becoming even better. And your feelings are what are going to get you there.
Don't get me wrong, manifesting money, cars, and cheese is fantastic. I'm all for it. Currently I'm working on staying in alignment though. Because if I stay in alignment, then not only will I be happy with myself and my life, but cheese will come to me too.
